RCA Statement on Nevin Truesdale

Following the announcement from The Jockey Club that its Group Chief Executive, Nevin Truesdale is to step down from his role at the end of 2024, David Armstrong, Chief Executive Officer at the Racecourse Association has released the following statement.

“Nevin’s contribution to British horseracing has been significant. During his tenure at the Jockey Club, including four years as Chief Executive, Nevin has played a key role in driving the sport forwards and remains an integral part of many of the sport’s decision making bodies.

“Nevin’s influence on the sport is clear. In recent memory, his work to lead the petition to debate affordability checks was instrumental in the subsequent debate and action taken.

“I am grateful for his steadfast support as a Director of the RCA and he will be sorely missed across the racing world.”
