Racecourse Association to Cease Racegoers Club Management
The Racecourse Association (RCA) has served notice on its management contract of the Racegoers Club (RGC). The RCA will ensure the smooth running of RGC until the end of this 90-day notice period.
The RCA has successfully managed RGC since 1999, securing the support of its members to provide a host of generous benefits to some of Britain’s most loyal racegoers. Despite the best efforts of its executive and committee, RGC’s membership has been in decline for a sustained period of time. The Club has, and continues to be, managed as a not-for-profit venture with any surplus donated to its charity partner Racing Welfare or reinvested into RGC.
Details on the two syndicated horses managed by RGC will be shared directly with members.
Racecourses across the country provide excellent membership schemes to acknowledge and reward loyal racegoers including the most popular elements of RGC membership such as reciprocal complimentary racedays, private hospitality areas and reduced raceday admission prices.
A Special General Meeting has been convened by the RGC Committee, to take place via Zoom on Monday 4th July, to discuss the RCA’s management notice and future of the Club with members, following which further details will be shared.
