The Quality Assured Racecourse Scheme

Established in 2013, the Quality Assured Racecourse Scheme (QARS) gives every racecourse the opportunity to have its raceday experience objectively assessed by a trained assessor from The AA.

Encompassing all aspects of the experience, from pre-raceday communications and social media audits to the racecourse itself and the quality and cleanliness of facilities, a trained assessor conducts the assessment during an unannounced visit, following which a full debrief with racecourse management takes place.

Alongside this debrief and detailed report, The AA provides racecourses that meet the minimum agreed standard with a Quality Marque.

In addition to accreditation, RCA Excellence Accolades are bolt-on rewards of excellence within specific areas of the assessment. These accolades celebrate true excellence in racecourse operational delivery and the very best of raceday experience across British Racing.
