On-course Betting Trial Extended
The Racecourse Association can confirm that following a successful trial of on-course betting which began on Tuesday 18th August, the arrangements with both pool operators and bookmakers will continue until otherwise stated.
On-course bookmakers providing a service to owners at Beverley Racecourse
Pool betting operators and on-course bookmakers have been offering a betting service to owners since 18th August to trial operating practice and hygiene measures. Up to two on-course bookmakers and pool betting operatives have been permitted access. This trial applies only to English and Scottish Racecourses.
This service has been well received and a survey is currently with racehorse owners that have attended a race meeting to allow for further enhancements to the service.
Details of betting services for pilot events with crowds are being confirmed and will be announced in due course.
