RCA Accreditation – Terms & Conditions

  1. Use of an RCA ID Card and/or car park label indicates acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  2. ID Cards and car park labels are issued annually and are strictly non-transferable.
  3. Entry to each racecourse is subject to the terms and conditions of entry at that racecourse with particular reference to Special Conditions C for those undertaking media work.
  4. All ID Card holders are expected to conduct themselves in a reasonable manner at all times when on the racecourse and in all matters relating to the allocation and use of accreditation, and not engage in any activities to the detriment of racing and the RCA.  Such activities or any misuse of the ID Card, PASS card of car park label will lead to withdrawal of admission rights, be reported to the BHA and may be subject to significant penalties.
  5. RCA ID Cards do not provide access to the pre-parade ring, parade ring, winners enclosure or Owners & Trainers facilities unless agreed in advance with the individual racecourse.
  6. Racecourses may restrict access to areas at their own discretion.
  7. To gain entry, the ID card must be accompanied by the corresponding lanyard.  In the absence of a valid ID Card with lanyard and valid PASS QR code, racecourses reserve the right to charge you for admission.
  8. Racecourses may conduct spot checks and any accreditation must be produced on request.
  9. There are a small number of race meetings where RCA ID Cards and car park labels are not valid.  These are detailed in the accompanying documentation and must be observed.
  10. If a PASS card, ID Card or car park label has been lost or stolen you must inform the RCA (Tel: 01344 873536) immediately.  The fee for a replacement ID Card is £125 plus VAT.
  11. Any weakness in the lanyard or rings must be reported to the RCA and a replacement will be issued free of charge on return of the faulty lanyard.
  12. RCA ID Cards are not valid for use by bookmakers or their staff on days when they are operating.
  13. Card holders retain responsibility for all Cards allocated to them and must ensure out of date cards or badges are not used to attempt to gain entrance to racecourses.

The RCA, on behalf of Racecourses reserve the right to alter the terms and conditions of entry to racecourses for RCA ID Card holders from time to time having given notice.
