RCA Statement- HRH Prince Philip The Duke of Edinburgh
The Racecourse Association (RCA) is saddened to hear of the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

In honour of The Duke of Edinburgh, all racecourses hosting racing over the weekend will hold a period of silence and flags will be flown at half-mast whilst jockeys will be offered black armbands to pay their respects. The RCA will remain in close dialogue with the British Horseracing Authority, the DCMS and Buckingham Palace with regards to future events.
RCA Chairman Maggie Carver commented “The Duke of Edinburgh was a frequent visitor to British Racecourses and we are deeply grateful to him for his support of our industry. We send our sincere condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and The Royal Family.”
