Medical

The RCA Medical Group is made up of Senior Racecourse Medical Officers, each specialising both in racing and their professional careers.

Led by RCA Medical Adviser Dr Andy Simpson, the Group advises the RCA Executive on all matters related to medical provision for jockeys and racegoers. This includes input into developing requirements within the BHA General Instructions and Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds, and assisting racecourses in implementing these requirements.
