Veterinary information

Reporting to the RCA Technical Group, the Executive call on the advice of Veterinary Surgeon Simon Knapp for all veterinary and horse welfare matters. We also work closely with BHA, the NTF and The Association of Racecourse Veterinary Surgeons to ensure the highest standards of equine care are provided on racecourses and across the sport.

The RCA is a proud supporter and active participant on the independent Horse Welfare Board. The Horse Welfare Board is responsible for bringing together the sport to continuously improve the equine welbeing of our participants throughout their careers and beyond. Click here for more information.
